Greetings from the Myanmar earthquake ground. Our team is responding to rescue and emergency medical care and food distribution. I humbly request funds for medicines as we need an emergency. We would like to request emergency funds for medicines.  Please find the attached files for the lists of medical supplies requested by our Medical Doctor Aung San Lin. We appreciated any of your contributions.

Thank you for your support and collaboration in Medical Evangelism. May God continue to bless your church to expand God's Kingdom.

Myanmar Earthquake Response

As many of you will be aware, a devastating earthquake struck central Myanmar over the weekend, resulting in significant loss of life and widespread destruction. This disaster comes at a time when many communities in Myanmar were already grappling with deep instability and hardship.

Within our Baptist Association family, we are blessed to have a number of diaspora congregations from this region. For many of these churches, the impact of this tragedy is personal and immediate - affecting loved ones, friends, and ministry partners in Myanmar. We grieve with them and stand together in prayer and support.

We encourage all our churches to unite in prayer this week, lifting up:

  • Those who are grieving the loss of loved ones,

  • The injured and those without access to medical care,

  • Communities in need of shelter, food and safety,

  • The courageous people on the ground bringing hope and help,

  • The ongoing tensions and conflict within Myanmar, that peace and justice may take root even in the midst of crisis

  • Our diaspora brothers and sisters here in Australia as they carry the weight of concern for family and friends.

Next Monday night (April 7) at 7:30pm, we will gather online with people from around the country to pray together for the situation in Myanmar.

Many of our diaspora congregations are already responding with extraordinary generosity-giving financially and supporting local communities in Myanmar through their direct relationships. We invite the broader Association family to join in this collective effort through our national mission partners:

Baptist Mission Australia

Baptist Mission Australia has been walking alongside communities in Myanmar for many years through local faith leaders and teams who are embedded in their neighbourhoods. Their work focuses on holistic mission-responding with the love of Jesus through practical care, community development, and deep, long-term partnerships.

Baptist World Aid Australia

Baptist World Aid has launched a dedicated Myanmar Humanitarian Response Appeal, providing a way for individuals and churches to give directly toward emergency relief. Your support will help supply critical needs such as food, shelter, and medical aid, delivered through trusted local Christian partners.

Stand with Myanmar

As a movement shaped by the love of Christ, may we be found faithful standing with those who suffer, offering what we have, and embodying the compassion of Jesus across cultures and borders.

With you in prayer and partnership,

what we believe ..

Coffs Baptist New Logo_edited.png
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that the lost and sinful man must be saved, and that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe in and practice the holy ordinance of water baptism, which signifies the believer's death, burial, and resurrection into new life with Christ Jesus, and the regular celebration of Holy Communion as commanded by our Lord.
We believe in the present ministry and baptism of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; those that are saved into the resurrection of life and those that are unsaved into the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
